Frida Li is a Chinese actress, born in Wuhu, Anhui, China. Due to her father’s influence, she was allowed to study painting since she was a child. At the age of 10, she left her hometown to study ballet. Under the encouragement of her teachers and people around her, she applied successfully for admission into Beijing Film Academy where she graduated from the Performance Department in 2009.
In 2011, she entered showbiz with her role as ‘Qinhuainu’ in her first movie “Jinling Thirteen Hairpins” which gained much popularity. In 2015, she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 2015 National Opera Festival for her role as the second female lead in the ancient costume fantasy fairytale “The Journey of Flower”.
